The stockholm syndrome

I found this while I was researching for an illness...
It's called stockholm syndrome and this is a definition I found:
The Stockholm Syndrome comes into play when a captive cannot escape and is isolated and threatened with death, but is shown token acts of kindness by the captor. It typically takes about three or four days for the psychological shift to take hold.

So it's basically when someone has kidnapped you and you think he's doing nice things, or even fall in love with that person.

It is called like that because in the summer of '73, four hostages were taken in a bank robbery at Kreditbanken in Stockholm. Six days later, when the police got in, they refused to testify against their captors, raised money for their legal defense, and one of the hostages even became engaged to one of her jailed captors. <---WTF!

“They weren’t bad people. They let me eat, they let me sleep, they gave me my life”

— A hostage from Flight 847

If you know anything else about that syndrome, please tell me!
